4 - The Existing equipment source

Since nanoscale powder grinding requires the use of small grinding beads, high speed, high energy density, and so on, but also to avoid pollution, generally European brand equipment is more suitable.

Of course, if reader already has domestic or Japanese dispersing and grinding equipment, you can use the existing equipment to do the coarse grinding process, and then use the European equipment to do the final stage of ultra-fine nano grinding, to achieve the best use of "everything." 5 - Application examples and Matters needing attention

Main application as follows:

1) Color paste / Color filter / TFT LCD: R, G, B, Y and BM have been successfully dispersed and grinded to nanometer level, with transparency exceeding 90%, viscosity controlled at 5-15 CPS and moisture content below 1%.

2) Ink-Jet Inks: Pigment type Ink-Jet Inks have been successfully dispersed and grinded to nanometer level, viscosity under 5 CPS. Ceramic Ink-Jet, inorganic pigment type.

3) CMP (chemical mechanical polish) slurry: The particle size of the abrasive fluid required for semiconductor chip grinding has reached nanometer level and can meet the requirement of metal ion free precipitation.

4) TiOPc (optical contact):The coated optical conductor applied to the laser tabulator light drum has been ground and dispersed to the nanometer level.

5) Nano powder grinding, such as TiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3, ZnO, Clay, CaCo3... , which can be dispersed and grinded to 30 nm.

6) Nanoscale powder dispersing. For example, nano powder dispersed to polymer, or nano powder is added to plastics, rubber, etc. to dispersing.

7) Pharmaceuotical to meet the requirements of the nanoscale, and must be able to meet the requirements of the FDA.

8) Food additives meet the requirements of the nanoscale. Such as β carotene, need to meet GMP requirements.

9) Electronic chemicals meet the requirements of the nanoscale, and need to be able to meet the requirement of no metal ion precipitation.

10) Other special military, aerospace nanomaterials.


6 - Conclusions and Suggestions

It can be known from the above that "large flow, small grinding beads, super cooling system" is  the mainly rules of nanoscale powder grinding by. If you want to meet the requirements of finer, faster, less pollution, more environmental protection and energy saving nano-scale powder grinding, the following conditions shall be met:

1) Identify the characteristics and requirements of grinding materials.

2) Find the appropriate grinding mill according to the material characteristics.

3) With appropriate supporting equipments, such as Water chiller, Compressed air machine, Pre-mixer and Moving material tank...etc.

4) Find the appropriate product additives.

5) Perfect communication with upstream and downstream, so as to adjust the best formula and grinding conditions, and improve the compatibility of nano powder.
