To prevent pests and diseases, farmers inevitably need to use pesticides when growing fruits and vegetables. However, the traditional pesticide dosage forms have the defects such as large amount of organic solvent, dust drift and poor dispersibility, which cause the loss of most pesticides in the environment, and only less than 1% of pesticides act on the target sites, thus causing serious environmental pollution.


In order to solve this problem, nanomaterials and technologies have been gradually applied in the field of pesticides, to change their physical and chemical properties, make it a stable homogeneous body that is highly dispersed and easily suspended in water, so as to fully improve the utilization rate of pesticides, reduce pesticide residues and reduce environmental pollution. In 2019, nano-pesticide ranked first in the "Top Ten Chemical Inventions Affecting the World" issued by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and has become a research hotspot in domestic and abroad.




One of the common nano processing technologies is to use nano processing technology to make the active pesticide nano, such as nano dispersion, nano emulsion, etc. The specific surface area of pesticide preparation increases after the nanization of active pesticide, which can improve the dispersibility and stability of pesticide in water, promote the absorption of the target. This significantly reduce the amount of organic solvent and auxiliary agent compared with traditional pesticides such as emulsified oil. At present, the preparation technology of suspension is quite mature in China, and bead mill is the most important equipment in the dispersion process. Recently, at the "2020 Nano Pesticide Science Forum" held in Arong Banner, Hulunbuir city, Inner Mongolia, some experts suggested that it is necessary to strengthen the research and standard-setting of evaluation methods such as the definition of nano pesticide, product specification, usage specification and effectiveness and safety, to promote and standardize the scientific and rational use of nano pesticides in low capacity spray application such as plant protection UAV. It is suggested that relevant departments should strengthen policy guidance and support, standardize the management of nano pesticides, strengthen the quality control, risk assessment and safe use of nano pesticides, and promote the development of China's nano pesticides.
